yet the overlays for plantations always seem to stay green no matter what, but the overlays for ranches seem to fluctuate even if you take careful precautions not to remove trees and not to put industry near them. has anyone figured out the overlays for ranches? let's say you put a cattle ranch in a green area where you get something like +40 location bonus, in year or two you go back to that ranch and now the area it's in is yellow and you've got negative location bonus.
#Tropico 4 wasd zip
when it comes to graphics they have applied some sort of FXAA blur over the buildings when you zoom out far enough, but you can't disable FXAA specifically, you have to turn down post-processing to remove it and that also seems to disable some other graphical features as well.īut really these are minor nitpicky stuff, i'm quite addicted to the city-building and micromanagement aspects. Use this version if v3.0.20 gives problems Starting the UUU After downloading the zip linked below, unpack it in an empty folder. there are no hotkeys for movement, so you are forced to move the camera via dragging your mouse to the edges of the screen instead of a simple WASD setup which i always use in most games. why? there is a hotkey to fast forward in time, but there is no hotkey to pause, which i'm constantly clicking. you've got about only a dozen available hotkeys for miscellaneous stuff, and then you have like 5 pages of available hotkeys for each building. What i think it's missing is more customization, for example the hotkeys are a total disaster. I'm clearly doing something wrong, but I'm getting complacent because of my previous Tropico experiences. I keep losing in T5 and they aren't flukes. In T4 I used to play at 150% difficulty and breeze through the game. Unlike previous Tropicos, it isn't just a time burner with great music and atmosphere. Like one idiot at a well known gaming site was complaining about colonial infantry fighting modern rebels. Some of the reviews I've read obviously didn't even play long enough to see how these work.
#Tropico 4 wasd upgrade
The upgrade and manager system is great too. Hell, I lost an election (possibly the first one ever) with 65% approval going in. Much more oriented on the people than simple linear economy and buying your way out of it.
#Tropico 4 wasd series
Haven't even tried MP yet and it is for sure a "new" Tropico and its the best of the series IMO. Either I get stomped by the Allies when I won't pay or the rebels burn me out. I was buying gold off of the pirates and then reselling it to the crown.then the pirates would raid the crown. I actually had an event that allowed me to trade gold with the crown. Tropico 4 was the last one where transportation bottlenecks actually impact the economy and can bankrupt you if you don't plan properly or redo sections as you go if you set it up poorly or have to adapt later, Tropico 5 & 6 seem to ignore the impact that bottlenecks have on a supply chain, or at least understate the importance of a logical and. Its not going to be a revolution.where would you go with it after all? Move setting? Why? The trading function is a solid one. It is still Tropico though, so I'm not really sure what people were expecting. They dont provide the same degree of mobility that cars from garages do, since people can only use them to move from one station to another. Feeding Pens ( Cold War) - $800: Schools of fish regrow even while worked by a fisherman. It is a much different Tropico. Requirements 5 megawatts of power Metro station are infrastructure buildings in Modern Times (Tropico 4).Drift Netting - $500: Effectiveness is increased by 20 but the Wharf depletes schools of fish %20 faster.Have you heard the one about the fisherman that was struck by a meteor? He always wanted to catch a big one! Not funny? He wasn't laughing either. If an Oil Spill occurs, nearby Wharves will become unusable until the spill is cleaned up.įish population can be: none, scarce, moderate or abundant with a difference in production for each one. Their main use is providing Tropico with fish which can be used for local consumption, sold off as exports immediately, or sent to a cannery to be canned and sold off at a higher price. Wharves are raw resource buildings in Tropico 5.
